The SaVe Study

To investigate the development of vertigo/dizziness, decline in walking balance, and sarcopenia and the effect of comprehensive geriatric assessment and 12 weeks of targeted group-based exercise three times/week (i.e., vestibular and balance exercises and progressive resistance training) to counteract the symptoms in older patients with colorectal cancer treated with chemotherapy.

The PROGNOSIS Study

Comprehensive project including a large cohort study of older adults with cancer and two randomized control trials. The overall aim of the project is to examine the effect of quality of life in older adults (cohort) and improve outcomes in older adults with frailty undergoing cancer treatment (RCT).

FRAGINOC study: The impact of FRAilty screening and Geriatric assessment and INtervention in older patients with epithelial Ovarian Cancer

To examine whether CGA and physical training can increase the number of patients referred to IDS, completion of chemotherapy treatment, and its impact on treatment outcomes and quality of life. Additionally, to examine the performance of three screening tools to identify deficiencies in CGA.

The IMPROVE Study

The Competence Study

The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of a perioperative Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA), tailored interventions, and implementation of an interdisciplinary collaboration in older, frail patients with bladder cancer undergoing radical cystectomy.

Pre-KiT - Pre-habilitation prior to surgery for kidney tumors: a randomized, controlled trial

To investigate if one month of pre-habilitation prior to surgery for kidney tumors can reduce the loss of physical function, allowing patients to return to their habitual physical activity more quickly.

ERAS 3.0: Enhanced recovery at home for older people after resection for colonic cancer

To combine the ERAS principles for surgical patients with the home-based geriatric, nutritional and physical interventions used in medical patients to hopefully further optimize the outcomes for older patients. with frailty undergoing surgery for colon cancer.
